More than 70,000 people are living with HIV in the UK, but their voices are often not heard by decision-makers, the media and the public. The issues faced by people living with HIV in the UK are too often ignored or their experiences not understood and many people don't know about the realities of living with HIV.

HIV is preventable. Should I get tested for HIV? What's it like to live with HIV? The number of people aged 16 to 24 being treated for HIV in the UK almost trebled between 1996 and 2005.
